Finly exists for the people finance software usually leaves behind — the non-technical, the busy parent, the senior sorting a year of statements at the kitchen table. Filing your return and catching every saving opportunity shouldn't require expertise, and it shouldn't require handing your financial life to someone else's cloud.
Built for the rest of us
Every screen is written in plain language — three languages, actually: English, French, and Spanish. If a step needs an accounting degree to understand, we consider that a bug.
Taxes without the fear
A guided, step-by-step path from statements to a finished return — Canadian T1, Québec TP-1, or US 1040 — with every number traceable back to the document it came from. Deductions and credits are surfaced for you, not hidden behind expertise.
Your data stays yours
Local-first by architecture, on every platform: the desktop app stores everything in a database you own, and Finly Web keeps your data in your browser. No cloud upload, no telemetry on your financial data. Optional device sync is end-to-end encrypted — never a default, never readable by us.
One household, both borders
Families live across the US and Canada, and their money does too. Finly treats both tax systems as first-class — the same app, the same data, either return.
Finly is built independently, in the open spirit of tools made to last: a fair annual license, no ads in your finances, and a product that works offline for as long as you keep it installed.
